How successfully we navigate a world full of perplexing choices, stress and uncertainty depends
very much on the quality of the decisions we make, both through our minds and hearts. Those who
are equipped with social and emotional skills, anchored in sound values, will be able to demonstrate
good character and citizenship.
The 4-year Helmsman Programme is designed to develop ‘informed minds’ as well as ‘informed
hearts’, or put another way, to mature our students into discerning, judicious young people
well-equipped with the skills, knowledge and dispositions to face future challenges.
There are 5 domains in the Helmsman Programme,
each with its specific focus in terms of objectives
and developmental areas.
