A key belief that underpins the VIP is the idea that it’s really important for students to have the space
to explore, experiment with, and extend their learning pursuits. Central to this belief is the idea of
student empowerment in their learning choices. To this end, diverse elective modules ranging from
the Language Arts and Humanities, Science and Mathematics, as well as Aesthetics and Technology
have been developed to cater to the varying interests of VIP students. These modules connect our
students to real-life issues and expose them to cutting-edge technologies and trends. Students have
a choice in the electives they wish to offer, and will complete 4 modules in IP1 and IP2, at the rate of
1 elective per semester.

Electives offered include Robotics Intelligence, Nanotechnology, Cancer Studies, Marine Biology,
Food Chemistry, Chaos Theory, Philosophy, Psychology, Comics and Society, Theatre and the World,
as well as Videomaniac (Script writing and Film Editing), just to name a few.
