MusicFest is BACK! All are welcome to sign up, so if you think you have what it takes to be a STAR, download the application form now here. Fill it in and submit it to the MusicFest booth set up outside the canteen from Monday, 23 February 2009 to Wednesday, 25 February 2009 and on Monday, 2 March 2009. The booth will be open from 10am to 4pm. Deadline is 2nd March 2009.

MusicFest will be on 8th of May 2009 and the theme is "I'm Lovin' It". Application is open to J1 and J2 students. Categories include Vocal Solo, Vocal Group, Band, Dance and Music Video.

]]> NUS Chancellor's Challenge Shield http://nuspa.org/cms/?q=node/98 Best Press Article: NTU Model United Nations http://www.ntudebsoc.org/MUN/index.htm Tasmana Ishat Khorshed Alam (08S43) has just won another writing prize at the recently held NTU Model United Nations. She participated as a writer/journalist. Assigned to cover the EU, her article won the Best Press Article prize. Her team also won the Best Press Team.

This is the third writing prize (that we know of) that Tasmana has won since joining VJC!

]]> JTDP Research Paper Presentation Results http://www.jtdp.eng.nus.edu.sg/JTDP/Site/Home.aspx Xu Piaohan from 08S46 has been awarded the "Best Research Paper Award 2008" at the recent Junior Talent Development Programme (JTDP) Judging Presentation at NUS. His research project is entitled "Analysis of Nanoindentation of Multilayer Low-K Stacks".
