In
2003, they changed the medal award system. Only San Duan routines were given top
3 placings, while for Traditional routines, your score determined the medal you
would get depending on which range you fell into... like the A1, A2 grading
system... This year's medal tally includes both individual and team events. One
silver and one bronze came from team events, while the rest were individual.
Most importantly, we won the Overall Championship again.
Currently, 2002 remains our most successful year. VJC Wushu emerged as overall champion in the open
category. With our 7 golds, we beat all the usual traditional rivals.
This achievement beat our previous best in 1999, in which Wushu came up with 4 golds and 1 bronze - the second most number of medals amongst the JCs and Polytechnics.
